Pop star Rihanna to make £100,000 gambling on World Cup

Rihanna is set to make a huge £100,000 gamble on the World Cup. The singer is thought to have bet on both semi-finals and the final, with the potential winnings of £1million.

Rihanna is not new to betting, and has previously placed bets on the Super Bowl, the Academy Awards and the UEFA Champions League. The singer is reported to have wagered around £10,000 on each match so far, but if her predictions are correct she could walk away with a lot more.

Gambling is known to be one of Rihanna's favourite pastimes, and she has been open about her love of betting in the past. In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres in 2014, Rihanna said that she often enjoys a flutter when watching sports. She also revealed that she had once lost $1million in a day while gambling in Las Vegas.

However, this latest gamble looks to be a much safer investment for the star. With odds of 1/5 for England to beat Sweden in Saturday's semi-final and 6/4 for Croatia to beat England on Wednesday, Rihanna is likely to make a healthy profit even if her teams lose.

If England do manage to win the World Cup however, Rihanna could stand to make a fortune. Her biggest ever win was reportedly when she placed a £25,000 bet on Floyd Mayweather Jr to beat Manny Pacquiao in 2015 – winning £162,500 in return.

Britney Spears set to launch online casino

Britney Spears is set to launch her very own online casino, according to reports.

The pop superstar is teaming up with gaming giants GVC Holdings to create the new venture, which is expected to go live in 2019.

Guests will be able to play a range of casino games, including slots and table games, as well as take part in tournaments and compete for real-world prizes.

It's believed that Spears will have a heavy involvement in the day-to-day running of the casino, which is sure to be a major hit with fans.

Katy Perry signs up as brand ambassador for new online gaming site

Pop star Katy Perry is the latest celebrity to sign up as a brand ambassador for a new online gaming site.

The 32-year-old is the face of 'Sgame Pro', an upcoming gaming platform that will allow users to trade in virtual currency for real-world rewards.

"I'm so excited to be working with Sgame Pro," Perry said in a statement. "This is the future of gaming and I can't wait for my fans to experience it."

The app will launch in beta testing mode next month, and will be available worldwide from early 2019. It will offer a wide range of games, including casino titles, sports betting and fantasy leagues.

Other ambassadors for Sgame Pro include soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo and Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton.

Lady Gaga has announced she is to star as the lead in new Popstar slot game.

The game, which is being made by software developer Microgaming, will see players help Gaga become a pop megastar.

According toMicrogaming, the game will boast "spectacular graphics and exciting bonus features".

It is due to be released in Spring 2017.

Speaking about her new role, Lady Gaga said: "I'm so excited to be working with Microgaming on this new project.

"The team has created an incredible slot game that I know my fans are going to love. I can't wait for everyone to experience it."

In addition to her acting duties, Lady Gaga will also contribute music to the game. Her first single from the game, "A-Yo", was released on October 21st.
